Jonathan Ryan Tate

Obituary Jonathan Ryan Tate, 34, of Evans and formerly of Fort Collins, passed away at his home on March 16, 2021. Jonathan was born in Tarzana, California on August 29, 1986 to Glen and Sharon Tate. He soon moved to Fort Collins where he attended Poudre R-1 Schools, graduating from Poudre High School in 2004. He was active in 4-H where he built and flew model rockets and was a trap and sporting clay shooter. He played football at Poudre High School as a varsity letterman. As a student at the University of Wyoming, Jonathan was a member of the Rodeo Club where he was a Bareback Bronc Rider. After college, it was party time until Jonathan joined the United States Navy and became a Nuclear Field Machinist. Life for Jonathan took a more serious note when his daughter, Tegan Kaye Tate, was born. She was the light of his life. Jonathan worked as a gunsmith at Phoenix Weaponry in Berthoud and owned his own business in Evans, The Weapon Depot. Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Tegan, mother Sharon Tate, brother Garrett (Deb) Tate, grandmother Marian Bernard, grandfather Glen (Patricia) Tate, aunt Alicia (Charlton) MonCrief, cousin Sarah (Nick) Vasquez, half-sister Amanda (Roy) Burns, and his former wife and friend, Amanda Tate.
