Jose Crisostomo Camacho
March 9th, 1956 - September 3rd, 2023
Retired Army Master Sgt. Jose Camacho passed away on September 3, 2023, following a brief illness. Jose was born in Navy Hill, Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, on March 9, 1956. He entered U.S. Army service at Mangilao, Guam, on May 19, 1976, and served the Nation faithfully for 21 years, retiring from active duty on April 1, 1995. Jose was very patriotic, and many loved him. He never shied away from hard work and was quick to lend his immense expertise and help. Most importantly, he was a devoted family man who put family first and would do anything for them. He now joins his parents, Alejandro Salas Camacho and Maria Crisostomo Camacho, in his new life. He is survived and will be missed by his wife, TerryAnn Toves Camacho; children (grandchildren) [great-grandchildren], Mariano I. and Latecia Mesngon (Hope, Michael, Joseph, Faith and Mariano), Robert and Mellesia Camacho (David, Leilani, Natalie, Lucius Winter, Mateus and Syaus), Jessicamarie Camacho and Christopher Pangelinan (JesseJerome Gogo and Jasmine Zamundio, KeiferLee Gogo, Aiyana Pangelinan and Mark Umali [Maleia and Aveia], Leinani Camacho, and MinaSeline Pangelinan, Mariano II and Jacqueline Mesngon (Brandon and Cameron), John Camacho (Ilayzia and Kielo Rabina [Nalena Y. Leap Rabina]), Clint Shawn and Ciena Materne (Alejandra-Ysabel, Luca-Manual, Francheska-Laurel, and Jesus-Ramon), and Charles Brian and Helena Materne (Cason Shawn and Cecilia May). He will always be remembered by his former spouse, Nona Camacho. Last respects for Jose will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Funeral Alternatives of Washington, 2830 Willamette Dr. NE, Lacey, WA 98516 from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Inurnment with military honors will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042.
