Jose "Joe" Gonzales of Gilbert entered into eternal peace after a long fight with cancer surrounded by family on March 18, 2013 in Gilbert AZ, he was 85 years old. Joe was born on March 19, 1927 in Mesa, AZ to Roque and Juanita Gonzales. He was a devoted husband, father and a friend to all. He was the owner of the Gilbert Barber & Beauty Shop in Downtown Gilbert, where he rarely missed a day of work till the age of 80.He was a proud Veteran of World War II. Joe leaves loving memories to be cherished by his wife of 64 years, Concepcion "Connie" (Navarro), daughter Amelia Pace (Mike) and son Raul Gonzales. Loving brothers Manuel and Johnny and 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 10:00AM at St Anne Catholic Church, 440 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert AZ, followed with Interment and Military Honors presented at City of Mesa Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held at Val Vista Lakes Country Club following the entombment.The family wishes to extend their gratitude, and request for memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley for their support in his final days
