Jose Enrique Olvera
March 19th, 1945 - February 15th, 2014
Jose Enrique Olvera, 68, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer at St. Alphonsus, Boise on February 15, 2014. He was born March 19, 1945 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila Mexico. After growing up in Mexico he moved to the United States and became a proud father of five children and a stepson. He met the love of his life and married Estela Olvera on September 25, 1980 and raised three boys. He was known as a hard worker and worked at Simplot Company for over 30 years from which he retired. He will be greatly missed. Jose is survived by his wife, Estela Olvera; children, Jose Enrique Olvera Jr., Mario Alberto Olvera, Rosa Maria Olvera, Enriqueta Inocencio, Nancy Olvera, Roberto Olvera, Lorenzo Antonio Olvera, Enrique Olvera and stepson, Cesar Rodriguez; siblings, Manuel Olvera, David Olvera, Hector Valverde-Olvera, Ethel Garcia; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jose is preceded in death by his great-grandson, Mario Alberto Stephen Rea-Olvera; parents, Enrique Olvera Sr. and Enriqueta Olvera; siblings, Roberto Olvera, Osvaldo Olvera, Juanita Olvera, and Maria Guadalupe Nereida Cruz. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, February 20, 2014, 7:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 21, 10:30AM at St John’s Cathedral, Boise with graveside service to follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
