Jose "JoJo" P. Valdez
February 11th, 1978 - December 17th, 2019
Jose (JoJo) P. Valdez, age 41 of Alcalde went home to be with our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, due to a family house fire along with his beloved pets midnight and his rescue pet Rocky. Jose was born in the beautiful Espanola Valley on February 11, 1978. Jose is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Jose and Lugardita Carrillo. Special Grandfather Sisto Garcia. His beloved Aunt Sara Garcia. Paternal Great-Grandparents Amarante and Ignacita Valdez. Grandparents Aquilino and Matilde Valdez. Special Uncle Martin Valdez, Monty Trujillo, Grandma Anita Trujillo, ex-father in law Harold Romero, and numerous relatives. Jose is survived by his beloved daughter Kayla. His Father Aquilino and Angela. His Mother Lupita Salazar (deceased Rudy Salazar). Brother Adam Valdez and Nina. Loved nephews Anthony and Joshua Valdez, and Eric Archuleta. Loved nieces Jasmine Valdez, and Desiree Bustos (Brandon & Rider). Special Aunts Maria (Tita) Valdez-Herrera (deceased Sam Herrera), Denise Valdez and Rachel Trujillo. Special Uncle and Aunt, Alex and Connie Valdez. Mother of his daughter Tammy (Kenny) and numerous loved cousins and friends. Jose loved spending time with his daughter Kayla. He enjoyed music, playing the drums and guitar, which he played with local musicians throughout the Espanola Valley. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Chimayo Fire Department, and worked construction. Jose also enjoyed working on his Father's vehicles, and on other vehicles. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, January 04, 2020 at 9 a.m. at the Saint John's Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a Memorial Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Reception will be held at the Parish Hall in Ohkay Owingeh following memorial mass. Carrying Jose to his final resting place is his Daughter Kayla. Our family would like to thank Juan, Luz, PMS medical personnel and friends, too many to mention, but special. Thank you to all our family and friends for all your love, support, meals, monetary donations, phone calls, text messages during this tragic time. We love you all. God Bless you and your families.
