Josefyna "Joey" Banda
November 12th, 1996 - July 14th, 2012
Josefyna N.” Joey” Banda, 15, of Wilder, passed on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at her home. Joey was born on November 12, 1996 to Rosa Pantoja and Jose Antonio Banda. Joey’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Joey was a very special young lady. She was very loyal and protective of her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her neice, Milly Rose Jimenez. Joey had a great big smile and a laugh that would make us all smile. Her heart was a very forgiving one that we will carry with us every moment. Joey is survived by her mother Rosa Pantoja, her father, Jose Antonio Banda, her sister’s Ollyvia Banda, Ashlee Banda, a brother, David Knie, and a sister Michelle Barroso. A neice Milanya Rose Jimenez. Her maternal grandparents: Raul & Emma Pantoja. Also her paternal grandparents: Samuel & San Juana Banda and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Joey is preceded in death by her great-grandfathers Eleuterio Pantoja and Miguel Chavez, her uncle David Banda, and a great-uncle Francisco Banda. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM with Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell. Burial will follow at Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma, ID.
