Joseph M. Beegan, 73, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Friday, June 8, 2001 at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was born in Manhattan, New York and moved to St. Petersburg in 1952 from Long Island, New York. He was a salesman for 28 years for Florida Natural Color, a post card and souvenir company and was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerard Beegan and Mary Fahy Beegan and his wife of 49 years, Jean Deeters Beegan. He is survived by one son, James M. Beegan of St. Petersburg, Florida, four daughters, Jane B. Wilburn of Margate, Florida, Joan B. Robison of Brandon, Florida, Janet B. Malady of Charlotte, North Carolina, Joanne B. Schnell of Treasure Island, Florida, one brother, Mathew Beegan of Sun City, Florida, three sisters, Patricia Shea of Seminole, Florida, Mary Sullivan of Parsippany, New Jersey, Sheila Anderson of Orlando, Florida, and nine grandchildren.
