Bongiovanni, Joseph C., 83, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday Feb. 13, 2003 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in New York, NY he came here in 1979 from New Jersey. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He retired as a salesman from Sears in New York City after 25 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Leota; one daughter, Connie Napolitano, Trinity, FL; one son, Dennis Bongiovanni, St. Petersburg; two sisters: Josephine Bongiovanni and Catherine Tranchina, both of Brooklyn, NY; and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions in his name to the American Cancer Society, 4801-86th Avenue North, Pinellas Park,, FL 33782 or to All Children's Hospital 801 6th Street South St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
