Joseph Charles Caputo Jr.
April 28th, 1937 - November 8th, 2021
Joseph Charles Caputo Jr., 84, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 8, 2021 at the Alpine Rehab and Nursing Center in Little Falls, NY. Born on April, 28, 1937 in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of the late, Joseph and Emma Caputo. He was employed through Gloversville Enlarged School District and worked at Kingsborough Elementary for many years where he later retired in 1997. Joseph married the love of his life, the late, Patricia Caputo on November 1, 1969 and the two would be celebrating their 54th anniversary this year. When he wasn’t at work his hobbies included playing cards, bingo, his beloved scratch offs and spending time with his friends and family going on adventures. His all-time favorite activity would have to be fishing. Joseph is survived by his sisters, Joanie and Shirley; his children, Andrea (John) Lane, Joel (Traci), Joey, Bob (Kim) Caputo, Christina (Russel) Cotton; his grandchildren; great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his brother, Chucky and daughter in law, Sharon. The family would like to thank a close family member, Christopher as well as another close friend for helping with arrangements. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 2pm at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Freemont St. Gloversville, NY 12078. Masks will be required. A celebration of life will follow at The Gloversville Moose: 140 E State St, Gloversville, NY 12078.
