Joseph Salvatore Crivello

December 29th, 1972 - August 26th, 2024

'The One who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new."' Revelations

Joseph “Joey” Crivello, born in Monterey, and a life long resident of Monterey County, passed away peacefully at his home in Salinas, surrounded by his family, after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.  He was 51 years old.

Joe worked as a flooring contractor, owning his own business, before serving Monterey County as a Deputy Sheriff, the county he grew up in and loved.  He served the Sheriff’s Office, faithfully and loyally for 14 years before he retired.  Joe also volunteered countless hours to the youth of Salinas as a baseball coach, as well as coaching at his alma mater, Palma High School.  Joe was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, protector, coach and friend.

Joe is survived by his wife, Angela Crivello, his children, sons Nikko, Vincent and Marco, and daughter Gianna. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Crivello, survived by his mother, Gwen (Bob) Moore, his brother Daniel (Juli) Crivello, and his brother, James (Nora) Crivello, and his nephew Michael Crivello and his niece, Avery Crivello, his father-in-law, Daniel (Lola) Rocha, his brother-in-law, Daniel (Ana) Rocha and his nieces Samatha Rocha and Analysia Rocha.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 10th at 11 a.m at Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Drive in Salinas.

Healey Mortuary

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later.

Nora Crivello

Joe immediately welcomed me into the family as a sister in law and never looked back. He was either serious or joking, and I didn't always know which one I was talking to. He loved his family fiercely, and protected his work family with all he had. He will never be forgotten by our family. Rest easy bro.
