Joseph Anthony Demaria, Jr.

Joseph Anthony Demaria, Jr., age 65, of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Joseph was born February 10, 1955 in Chicago, IL. He is the son of the late Joseph Anthony and the late Dolores Demaria, Sr. Growing up, Joe attended Holy Cross High School, in River Grove Illinois, graduating in 1973. He married Katherine Ann Powrozek on July 4, 1989 in Las Vegas. Though retired, Joe worked as a Casino Host at the Rampart Casino and Grand Victoria Casino- Elgin. Joe was a lifetime lover of the horse racing industry. When Joe lived in Chicago, he could always be found at the racetrack, Maywood Park Racetrack. Early in his life, he owned harness horses that raced in the Chicagoland area. Joe was also a huge baseball and a huge Chicago Cub fan. He loved watching his nieces and nephews play baseball as well. He is survived by his wife: Katherine Demaria; siblings, Diana Demaria and Michael (Amber Stokes) Demaria; step-children, Tammie (Mike) Vandevelde, Roland (Irene) Pelletier, and Connie (Greg) Aumamn; grandchildren Nicole, Cameron, Hayley, Eddie, Ariana, Blake, Mason, Isabelle, and Claudio; great grandchildren Mia, Emie, and Cruz; and nieces and nephews Michael, Anthony, Jakob, Jaileigh, Annie, Bobby, and Christopher.
