Joseph Paul Demuth, 92 years old, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Oct. 7, 2012 of natural causes. He was born on Sept. 3, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Alice Teresa (O’hare) and Adam Edward Demuth. He grew up in South Ozone Park, New York where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Army Air Force July 16, 1942 and was discharged February 27, 1946 with a rank of sergeant. He came to Tucson when stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base where he met and later married Ellen “Shirley†Matthews.
