Mr. Joseph Albert Evans, age 81 a resident of Polk City passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland surrounded by family. Mr. Evans was born June 17, 1940 in Rentz, Georgia to Dewey and Sillar Juanita (Coleman) Evans. He was a Polk City resident for over 70 yrs. coming from Georgia and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Polk City. Albert was a retired Truck Driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Western’s and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Arlene Evans in 2007; son – Joseph Jr.; daughter – Belinda; brother – Preston and sister - Helen. Albert is survived by his loving family, 2 daughters – Pamela E. (Earle) Miller of Lakeland and Regina G. (Wayne Wygant) Evans of Dover; 3 brothers – Eston (Erline) Evans of Mulberry, Carroll (Karen) Evans of Auburndale and Roger Evans of Washington; 2 sisters – Doris Ison and Janice (Wayne) Battles of Georgia; 5 grandchildren – Joseph, Daniel, Kristin (Sean), Drek & Hannah and 7 gt grandchildren – Austin, Braxton, Kaydence, Cayden, Riley, Ayden & Adliah. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 15th at Faith Baptist Church of Polk City, 8550 State Road 33 North, Lakeland; visitation will begin 10 am at the church. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. Arrangements By: Kersey Funeral Home
