Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Joseph "Joe" Earl Fyfe
April 16th, 1960 - July 23rd, 2022
Joseph Earl “Joe” Fyfe passed away peacefully in his home in Raymond, Washington, on July 23, 2022, at the age of 62, after battling cancer. Joe is survived in life by his cherished wife of 40 years, Kathi. He was a proud father to his son, Kacie, and his daughter, Jenelle; and a papa to seven amazing grandchildren, Taleea, Jameson, Dilynn, Camrynn, Jazmynn, Maizynn, and Tasynn. He was a beloved brother to Gary, Sheilla, Melodie (deceased), Teddie, Tim, Wanda, Kenneth, and Angela. He was also an uncle, nephew and cousin within a large family of relatives; and a friend to so many. Joe met his biological father later in life, James Sanchez, and siblings, Ron, Randy, Martha, Russell, Mitch, Tom, Joy, Brian, and Carmen. Joe was born April 16, 1960, in Olympia, Washington, to Leota Fyfe (deceased) and was raised in Tumwater, Washington, attending school in the Tumwater School District. He was an automotive mechanic for most of his career, starting out in his uncle’s garage at Earl Foster’s Automotive, then working at Ford Automotive, and for the State Military Department. Joe preferred the outdoors, and loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, boating, camping and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife enjoyed RV traveling for most of their lives, traveling throughout the U.S. on family vacations and destinations on their own. Joe loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was a strong presence in all family holiday gatherings and special occasions. He will be deeply missed for his humor, his easy smile and full bellied laughter, and all of his “MacGyver” fix-it ways of getting things done. He was always the person to go to because it seemed that he knew a little bit about everything. He was a very generous man who made you feel at home and loved planning gatherings and singing old country songs around the bon fire. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
