Joseph A. Griffith, 91, of Saint Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at his home. He was born in Hillsdale , MI, on June 20, 1924. Joe graduated from Saint Petersburg High School and the University of Florida. He was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII and was a concentration camp liberator. Over his professional career, Joe was involved in advertising, dental equipment sales, construction inspections and wood working. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed photography. Joe also loved barbershop singing with the Ringmasters quartet for many years and served as International Vice-President of SPEBSQSA . Joe is survived by his wife of 71 years, Gloria J. Griffith; children, Candy White, husband Jon, Sharon Royal, husband David; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Nankivell. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North, Saint Petersburg, FL. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 P.M.
