Joseph Benjamin Harrison, 81, of West Melbourne, died July 6, 2013 at Brevard Hospice House. Born in Brunswick County, Virginia, he was the son of Richard M. and Florence (Williams) Harrison. A decorated veteran of the USAF, he served in Korea, Vietnam, England, Germany and stateside bases, including Patrick AFB. He retired as Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent for the City of Allentown, PA and returned to Brevard County in 1995. Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marian Tuthill Harrison; children, Catherine Savitz, Joseph Harrison, Jr., Carol (Dayl) Seigfried and Megan (Tony) Grindstaff; as well as twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Palm Bay 1st Ward, located at 1065 Emerson Dr., NE, where a memorial service will be held for him on Saturday, July 13th at 2 PM. He loved his family, gardening, fishing, golf and people in general. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be mailed to Wuesthoff Hospice House, 8060 Spyglass Hill Rd., Viera, FL 32940.
