Njoroge kamau was born on 30th October 1959 in Gathiruini village Gathugu Sublocation, Komothai location, Kiambu district in Kenya to the late David Kamau Njoroge and Beth Wanjiru Njoroge. He attended Gathiruini Primary school between 1967 and1973. He joined Komothai High School in 1974 and graduated in 1977. During his childhood he attended PCEA Gathiruini Church where he was baptized. After high school he joined Universal College Nairobi where he graduated with a Diploma in accounting He was later employed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Kilimo House where he worked until 1986 when he moved to the USA in search of greener pastures. Shortly after arriving in the USA he started his own trucking business and has been working for several companies, while in the trucking business he met his love Irene Njoroge and on 4th January 2004 they got married. He continued with the trucking business until he retired. Thereafter he decided to change his career as a result of which he went back to Central Washington University to major in Bachelor of Science in Geology. He was an avid reader and a member of the Geology Club in central. He travelled to Kenya on 30th October 2014 with his 6yr old daughter Shiro to visit family and friends. He stayed in Kenya for a month and was scheduled to return back on 2nd December 2014. His return flight route was Nairobi----Amsterdam---Seattle where he arrived at 4pm. While in Nairobi and shortly before boarding his return flight he had called his wife to confirm his pick up time from the airport. Upon his arrival at the airport and while waiting for his luggage at the baggage claim section he collapsed and was rushed to hospital where he remained in a coma for three weeks. He was later transferred to Park Rose Care Centre where he was recuperating. While at Park Rose Care centre family members and friends visited him regularly. On Sunday 15th March 2015 the family on a regular visit received the news that he had peacefully passed away at 1.10pm. He is survived by his wife Irene Njoroge and three children, David Kamau Njoroge (10yrs), Benjamin Manguru (8yrs) and Beth Wanjiru Njoroge (6yrs). “IT WAS THE LORD WHO GAVE HIM UNTO US AND IT IS THE LORDWHO HAS TAKEN HIM FROM US. BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD”
