Joseph "Joseph Ben" Lederman
February 11th, 1921 - September 25th, 2010
Joseph Lederman, age 89, a three year resident of Henderson, died Saturday, September 25, 2010. Mr. Lederman was born February 11, 1921 in Manhattan, NY to the late Max and the late Katie (Sharf) Lederman. Joseph grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and then moved to Brooklyn when he married his wife of 32 years, Doris Jaffe. Joseph served as a medic in the Navy during World War II. After the Navy, he earned his MA in physical therapy. He was the Assistant Chief of Physical Therapy for the Manhattan Veterans Hospital. He loved all sports, especially watching his New York teams. He also enjoyed reading, being outdoors, animals and traveling. He is survived by one daughter, Caryn Lederman of New York, NY and one son, Steven Howard Lederman of Henderson, NV. Burial will be at the New Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
