Joseph A. Mason

MASON, Joseph A., 84, of Land O Lakes, FL passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008. He was born in Brighton, MA and moved to Florida in 1998. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a retired Newton, MA police officer and EMT. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a member of VFW Post 1538. He was the founder of St Joseph’s Hands Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; sons, Joseph Mason, Jr., Ronald Mason, Theodore Martin and Kevin Maslowski; daughters, Marsha Gangi , Kathleen Benjamin, Maureen Whitlock, and Colleen Balling; seventeen grandchildren, Jessica, Daniella, Karen, Gregory, Andrew, Christine, Sandra, Elizabeth, Kelly, Kyle, Ryan, Travis, Matthew, Colin, Brian, Sarah and Emily and five great grandchildren, Samuel, Sean, Kylie, Maria and Owen. Donations may be made to the Tampa Police Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 172995, Tampa, FL 33672. A Funeral Service will be held on October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
