Joseph "Joe" Millard III, 84, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Sunday, June 3rd, 2007 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System. He was born in Coatbridge, Scotland and moved to St. Petersburg in 1956 from New Middletown, OH. He owned Millard's Construction St. Petersburg and built houses in Treasure Island and Paradise Isles. He was a 61 year member of Sulgrave Masonic Lodge # 696 in Poland, OH and was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church where he was a former Chairman of Deacons, a member of the Celebrity Sunday School Class and the Symphonic Choir. He was a former member of Lake Maggiore Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, taught a Sunday School class, was former Chairman of Deacons, sang in the choir, and served as hospital chaplain. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou; two sons, Joseph L. Millard of New Port Richey, Daniel W. Millard of St. Petersburg; two Daughters, LouAnn Lovell of Clearwater, Terry Cooper of Perry, GA; one sister, Margaret McCusker of New Middletown, OH; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
