Joseph Daniel Moralez

Joseph Daniel Moralez, Jr., 76, of Greeley, CO passed away November 30, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. He was born July 3, 1936 in Gill, CO to Jose and Delphina (Gonzalez) Moralez. Joseph was raised in Gill and graduated from Gill High School. He attended University of Northern Colorado before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. Joseph was a land surveyor with Weld County and many private companies. He enjoyed farming, gardening, volunteering as a baseball coach. He loved his grandchildren and going to their sporting events. Joseph was an active member of the First Assembly of God church in Greeley, going to bible study every Wednesday and services every Sunday. He was a member of the Old Timers. He is survived by one daughter, Annette (Paul) Erebia of Greeley; two sons, Joseph (Lori) Moralez, III of Greeley, and Mike (Stacey) Moralez of La Salle; grandchildren, Telly Daniel Euresti, Brandon Michael Euresti, Jayce Tappy, Madison Moralez, Rachel Moralez, and Sterling Moralez, all of Greeley; two great grandchildren, Darren Joseph Euresti and Gracie Euresti; five sisters, Ruth Gomez of Greeley, Martha Benevadez of Greeley, Mary Macias of Denver, Irene Chacon of La Salle, and Angie Foos of Denver; one brother, Steve Moralez of Aurora; and one special friend Valtin Perez of Greeley. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Lou Moralez. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Adamson Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, 3000 West 16th Street, Greeley. Interment will be at Linn Grove Cemetery.
