Joseph Dean Ohrazda II passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2024. Born on March 18, 1969, the eldest son of Joseph and Mary Ann Ohrazda, the younger brother of Cynthia Marie and older brother to Brian Scott. As a child, he was always seen with a smile on his face, a quality that he would carry with him throughout the rest of his life. Showing an exceptional aptitude for mathematics early on, Joseph constantly expanded his horizons, earning a degree in English from Arizona State University, making him a truly Renaissance man in his adult life. Due to his deep pursuit of knowledge, he was an avid reader and self-taught scholar in a multitude of subjects, which he altruistically shared with all those who he had conversed. Whether agreeing with his perspective or not, no one could claim that their life and thoughts were without change by his input.
A true maverick, Joseph was not one to be associated with any solitary group, making friends among all demographics, willing to listen, learn and respect each individual lesson expressed to him. It was in this quality that gave him the greatest gift, acceptance and reverence to all points of view. It is because of this that he will surely be remembered.
Preceded by his sister, Cynthia Marie, and shortly followed by the passing of his loving mother, Mary Ann, Joseph is survived by his family members, Joseph Dean (father), Brian Scott (brother)and Gregory Rencken (nephew). He will surely be missed as his immutable examples of humanity lives on through all who knew him.
On Friday, August 2, 2024, along with the Celebration of Life in honor of his mother at St. Pius X in Tucson, a blessing will be made in his memory, followed by a gathering for those who wish to attend and share their experiences and memories.
