JOSEPH E. R. PARENT, Jr., 60, of Englewood passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his Charlotte County residence. Born on May 10, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Beautie Ann (Mullins) Parent; Joe had been raised in Canada and had wonderful memories of his young life with his family there. He served in the U.S. NAvy and was a Florida resident for forty-four years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A restaurant manager, he had taken an early retirement and his wife Denise, took care of him his last few years, he enjoyed his quiet life at home. He is pre-deceased by his parents and a son, Jason in 2000. Survivors include his loving wife of nineteen years: Denise R. Parent: one brother: Bruce (Brenda) Parent; one sister: Beautie Parent; two step-daughters: Lisa (Jim) Jacobson; Julie (Chad) Deppen; mother-in-law: Victoria A. Boger; niece: Sierra Parent; five grandchildren: James, Andrew and Christian Deppen, Dylan and Isabelle Jacobson. The family will hold a private celebration of Joseph's life.
