Joseph "JC" Charles Puleo

Joseph Charles “JC” Puleo, 64, passed away July 26, 2017 in Olympia, Washington. He was born June 16, 1953 to Charles and Lena Marie Monges in Fresno, California. Over the years, he also lived at Phillips Lake in Shelton, Washington (2007-2013), Redmond, Oregon (1999-2007), Kauai, Hawaii (1996-1999), and Visalia, California (1993-1996). JC was a 1971 graduate of Bullard High School in Fresno. He married Lois Hesse on August 14, 1993 in Three Rivers, California. He owned and operated A Growing Concern – Landscape Creations & Gardening; was chef and owner of Puleo’s Restaurant, and resident manager of Kalepa Village in Lihue, Hawaii. JC was very creative, and had a kind heart and sharp wit. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and riding his Harley Davidson Road King. He is survived by his wife, Lois Puleo; sons, Dallas Monges and wife Alison, and Kevin Evertsz and wife Sarah; grandchildren, Daria Redmond, Darsy Redmond, Damian Buchanan, Kailah Evertsz, and Tyson Monges; and sisters, Lynne Brownlow, Lorre Kantz, and Leslee Ruth. Special thanks to all the staff of Providence Hospice who provided exceptional care for JC over the last year and a half.
