Joseph Royce Robertson
April 29th, 1951 - September 21st, 2021
Joseph Royce Robertson was born in Portland, Ore on April 29th 1951 to the late Joel Robertson and Ruthy Robertson Williams. Joseph left this life on September 21, 2021 at 7:39 P.M. He attended Washington High School in Portland and obtained his GED through POIC School. He had also ran on the track team for Washington High School where he broke an all-state record. Joseph, Joe, Jody, Papa Jody and OG were some of the names his friends and family referred to him as but most people called him Bunkie. Jodie loved to travel and fish and was someone who could not swim and did not like water but when relaxed in the boat he had a wonderful time. In 1984 in Portland Joseph almost lost his life when he was riding his brother’s motorcycle and had lost control of it. Then in 1994 Joe worked in construction when again he almost lost his life while working in the convention center in Portland as a 200 lb. Mitsubishi sign fell about 10 feet striking him in the head. He was dazed and knocked to the ground. Joseph is survived by his wife Diane Robertson, sons Santory, Joseph and Antwon Robertson. Jorne and Jackie Robertson and family, Burnise, Eddie, Dale, and Carol Robertson, Ollie Robertson and family, Isabelle Robertson and family, Leedesia Williams and family, Torrey Williams and family, Candance Williams and family and Elisha Williams and family. Joseph had 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren whom he loved very much. Services will be held at the Emmanuel Church of God In Christ on October 5th at 11:00 A.M. 4800 NE 30th Ave Portland, Ore 97211
