Joseph RodewaldThe funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Garden Way Church in Eugene for Joseph E. Rodewald of Albany, formerly of Eugene, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Oct. 13. He was 21.He was born Oct. 19, 1988, in Eugene.He graduated from South Albany High School in 2007. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2007 until his death.Survivors include his mother, Jacque Brotherton of Albany; his father and stepmother, John and Barbara Rodewald of Albany; grandparents Larry and Mary Pat Adair of Eugene; three brothers, John II of Fort Lewis, Wash., Josh of Jefferson and Josiah of Albany; and his domestic partner of one year, Kandi Hargett.Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
