JOSEPH "CHARLIE"" JOE" SAELENS, age 79 of Jefferson passed away Sunday December 21, 2014 at Marquardt Health Care Center in Watertown. He was born June 12, 1935 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, son of the late Joseph "Bill" Agnes (Beach) Saelens. He married Ellen Wolters on January 22, 1983 at St. John's Lutheran in Johnson Creek. Joe served in the United States Navy from 1956-1958. He was the President and CEO of Saelens Corporation in Johnson Creek. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Communities. He will be deeply missed by his family: Wife: Ellen Saelens of Jefferson, WI Daughters: Ellen (Tony) Haynes of Riverview FL, Anne (Doug) Christensen of Lake City, FL Mary (Scott) Johnson of Abrams, WI, Patricia "Patty" (Adam) Achilli of Fort Atkinson, WI Barbara (Tony) Johann of Jefferson, WI, Sandra (Shawn Hutchison) Saelens of Jefferson, WI. Sons: Joseph P. (Beverly) Saelens of Oregon, WI, Charles (Vanessa Laessig) Saelens of West Allis, WI. Extended Family: Richard "Dick" (Sue) Godkin of Johnson Creek, WI, Billy (Nancy) Godkin of Milford, WI, Michael (Lisa) Godkin of Howell MI. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two Sisters: Donna Markwick of Paulsbo WA, and Alice Handren of Lubbock, TX and many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brother-in-laws: Don Markwick, and Robert "Bob" Handren. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday December 27, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating.
