September 12th, 1954 - March 6th, 2019
SIMS, Joseph Dwayne, 64, of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was born in Japan and moved to Florida in 1955. Joe was a long time truck driver, who enjoyed water sports, skiing, boating and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Chester and Lois Vivian Sims. Joe is survived by his sister, Linda Morgan; brother, James Sims; and sister, Teresa Sims; four nieces, Sheri, Mendi, Crystal and Jaimey; and 11 great nieces and nephews. A service to honor Joe’s life will take place at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the Florida Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
