Joseph A. Slomski Jr., 74, of North Port, FL and formerly of Staten Island, NY passed away on March 25, 2022. He was born on March 15, 1948 in Staten Island, NY to his parents Joseph and Phyllis Ammirato Slomski. Joseph served in the U.S. Army. He loved to cheer on the New York Yankees and Giants. One thing he really loved was his family. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Hollywood of North Port, FL; three daughters, Maryann (Eric) Fasnacht of Hattiesburg, MS, Nadine (Steve) Poplin of North Port, FL, and Jodi (Frank) Riddagh of North Port, FL; ten grandchildren, Katherine, Matthew, and Patrick Fasnacht, Steven (Madeline), Nathan, and Nadine Poplin, Tre and Makayla Vicich, and Kylie Riddagh ; great-granddaughter, Alayah M. Poplin; sister, Marie Ettlinger; niece, Royce Ettlinger; and nephew, Carlton Ettlinger. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements.
