Joseph C. Voets

Joseph C. Voets, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Joe retired from SNET/AT&T after 27 years of service. He was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, retired member of the Branford, CT Yacht Club and served in the Merchant Marine's. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Hanna; children, Joe (Andrea) Voets, Jr. of Hamden, CT, Gloria (Jim) Lighthizer of Crofton, MD, Greg (Janet) Voets of Mansfield Center, CT; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Lois (Harry) Phelan of Gulford, CT and Cynthia Voets of West Haven, CT; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parenets, Joe and Blanche Voets; sister, Kay Currie; brother, Richard Voets; son, Thomas Voets and grandson, Conor Lighhizer. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday, August 11, 2014 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Viera, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St John the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera, Fl. 32940.
