May 23rd, 1921 - June 29th, 2012
Josephine †œJo† H. Halderman, 91, mother, grandmother, artist, teacher and loving wife of Jack C. Halderman, died June 29th, 2012 in Evergreen, Colorado. Born on May 23, 1921 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Josephine is survived by her two children, Cindy French of Evergreen, Colorado and George Halderman of La Jolla, California. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Shawn Halderman of Littleton, Colorado, Todd Halderman of Denver, Colorado, Jeffrey French of Denver, Colorado and Meghan French of Boulder, Colorado. Josephine loved creating art in many forms, starting at an early age with drawing. This led to her painting, in oil, acrylics and watercolor, as well as oriental brush painting. She also loved stained glass, and produced many windows and panels that she gave to family and friends. Jo also worked in other media, including candle making, embroidery, sewing, and card making. While in home health and hospice care with her daughter and son in law, Larry French in Evergreen these past nine months, Jo created many watercolor and felt craft projects, which she shared with her caregivers and volunteers, as well as family. There will be a small remembrance gathering to be scheduled at a later date in Evergreen, Colorado. She will be interned next to her husband Jack in October, 2012 in Long Island, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mt. Evans Home Care and Hospice, in Josephine†™s name. Birth: May 23, 1921, Council Bluffs, Iowa Death: Jun 29, 2012, Evergreen, Colorado
