Palmer-Josephine L. (Siok) Kusek, 96, died Wednesday September 15, 2021. Born in Wilbraham on June 15, 1925, she was the daughter of Stanley and Victoria (Piskor) Siok. A housewife for many years, then she was later employed by the Monson School System. Married for 66 years, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter, and sisters, Stella, Caroline and Mary. Josephine is survived by 2 sons, Robert and his wife Rolande of Greer, SC, John and his wife Jody of Lewes, Delaware; her 2 daughters, Ann Marie Lynch and her husband Timothy of Hampden, MA, Nancy Ehmke and her husband Dennis of Laotto, IN along with 8 grandchildren, Robert A. Kusek, Laura Alabau, Jessica Hermen, Jenna Kusek, Meghan A. Lynch, Matthew J. Lynch, Natalie Savage, and Stephanie Beining. She also leaves 6 great grandchildren, Alexandria Alabau, Bianca Alabau, Andrew Herman, Jack (JW) Herman, Tripp Kusek and Kayden Kusek. Services will be held Thursday Sept 23rd with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Divine Mercy Parish at 10 a.m. There will be a calling hour from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sts Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Palmer Council on Aging, 1029 Central St., Palmer, MA 01069 or Meals on Wheels, Greater Springfield Senior Services, 66 Industry Ave., Springfield, MA 01104.
