Josephine "Carroll" C. Petrie of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the age of 80 years. She was born on March 6, 1934 in Mitchell, SD the daughter of Earl and Esther (nee Cunningham) Clukey. She married the love of her life William Petrie on September 13, 1952. Carroll was an alumnus of Waukesha South High School. She worked as a seamstress at Ortho-Kinetics for many years. She loved country music and took several FM 106 FanFare trips to Nashville, TN and loved to participate in line dancing. She also was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. Carroll loved her cats and took care of the animals in her backyard. She had a great passion for cooking and also enjoyed gardening and crafts. Most of all Carroll loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carroll will be sadly missed by her daughter, Markene (Brian) Kaminski of Oak Creek; sons, Jay (Amy) Petrie of the Town of Waukesha, Scott of Waukesha and Todd of Waukesha; grandchildren, Megan (Greg), Drew (Amanda), Blaire (Nick), Crystal (Frank), Brian (Megan), and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Dason, Nicolas and Quintin; sister, Marilyn (Tom) Ludwig; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lois Ott and Chop Burgett. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Carroll is preceded in death by her parents and husband, William. The family would like to give a special thank you to Season's Hospice and Asera Care Hospice for their loving care of their mother. The visitation for Carroll will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass on Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Carroll may be given to St. William Catholic Church (address above).
