Josephine Hernandez Rasul

Josephine Hernandez Rasul, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2015. She was born in El Centro, CA, on February 18, 1922. She was a resident of Sutter County since 1953, where she and her late husband raised their family. Josephine worked for Butler Brothers for 16 years and Yuba County School District for 15 years. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin A. Rasul and her son Benjamin H. Rasul. She is survived by her daughters, Genevieve Adams of Gridley, CA, Alice Thayer of Chico, CA, Virginia Wolff of Yuba City, CA, and Rosalie Marquez of Yuba City, CA; grandchildren, Benjamin J. Rasul, Johnny Dale, Danny Rasul, Alan Adams, Katrina Sanchez, Kathleen Williams, Careen Thayer, Michael Thayer, Andrew Adams, Shireen Rasul, Jason Wolff, Danielle Skelly, Robert Bennette and Bryan Bennette and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Josephine will be remembered by all who knew her for her beauty, her strength, her love of life, her generosity and her compassion and kindness. Her children and grandchildren will especially remember her for the special love she had for each of them. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City, CA, with the rosary at 10:00 am. The burial will immediately follow at Sierra View Memorial Park and a memorial reception.
