Joshua George Montano
October 29th, 1990 - September 1st, 2023
Joshua George Montano peacefully entered the gates of heaven on September 1, 2023, He was born on October 29, 1990, to Lucas and Paulette Montano Joshua graduated from Greeley West High School and attended the University of Northern Colorado for 2 years. He worked for Highland Hills Golf course during high school (where he was called “Stick” due to his golf skills, then worked 2 jobs at Best Buy as a sales consultant and Wyler’s Pub as a bartender, he then settled into a career with CenturyLink/ Lumen for 6 years, his greatest asset was customer service due to his approachable demeanor. He was always smiling and polite with anyone he met and enjoyed listening to stories from others. Joshua was born in Thornton and later moved with his parents to Greeley where he has been ever since, he excelled in Golf, Bowling and Fishing due to his passion for all three, he also enjoyed history and was very informed on the subject, but his greatest joy was his family and spending time with them for any occasion, he had a great passion for music and loved going to concerts with his Niece Teya and Brother Paul. Joshua’s other passion was his son Hunter, he showed him great Love and Caring while trying to teach him to be a responsible young man. He is Hunter’s biggest cheerleader at all of his events and was front and center whenever possible. His most recent pleasure was attending a couple of Denver Nuggets playoff games with Hunter and his Fiancé Kalene, I think the greatest pleasure was sharing the moment with them which he seemed to do well. As his brother Nathan would say “He liked what he Liked” He was a light we all felt warmth sharing. Joshua is survived by his Son Hunter, his Fiancé Kalene White, Parents Paulette and Lucas Montano, Brothers Paul (Becky) Arroyo, Nathan (Bobbi) Arroyo Grandparents Elaine (Ted Duran) Montano, George (Elva) Montano, James Arroyo and was preceded in death by his Grandmother Mona Arroyo, Aunt Claudette Montour and cousin Dominique Hernandez Survived by Aunt Sonia Montano (Cousin Marisol), Uncle Frank (Bernadette) Hernandez, William (Lynette) Gilstrap, James (Carmie) Arroyo, Nieces Teya and Savannah, nephews Diego, Isaiah, Tristan and great nephew Elias, and numerous cousins. Golfing in the low 70’s bowling 300’s catching 10-pound Rainbow Trout, swimming with sharks, traveling, concert going, family gatherings and holidays were things Josh will be remembered for, but I think the joy he got out of all those things was being with his family and sharing the moment, he never boasted but rather cheered on everyone else (especially Hunter). His light will shine bright in all who knew him, Rest In Peace our Beautiful Baby Boy.
