Joshua Caleb Purvis, 25 of Lexington, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend stepped into eternity early Friday morning, May 26 2017. He was born July 22, 1991 in Titusville Fl. to Rocky and Sherrie Purvis. He had just returned from Greenville, where he had spent the day with his younger brother who was getting married on Saturday May 27, 2017. He was so looking forward to celebrating this day with his family. Josh was one of the most creative, loyal, big hearted people to ever walk the planet. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jon (Christy) and Matt (Emily) Purvis; a sister, Mary Clarke (Brian); grandparents, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church in Lexington. It is the prayer of his family that everyone who knew him and loved him will discover the hope and peace that is only found in a personal relationship with Jesus.
