VAN LEEUWEN, Joshua A. “Josh,” 40, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Florida in 2007. Josh served proudly in the United States Coast Guard as a First Class Petty Officer. During his service, Josh was stationed in Guam on the United States Naval Coast Guard Cutter, Basswood. He also served in Clearwater, Florida, Hawaii and Sacramento, California where he operated C-130 military aircrafts. He enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jan Van Leeuwen; cousins, Doug Kopp and Elizabeth Wiggs. He is survived by his fiancé, Nikki Jordan; mother, Patti Mason (Denis); father, Jan Van Leeuwen (Susan); twin brother, Ian Van Leeuwen; grandmother, Marie Van Leeuwen of the Netherlands; many friends and United States Coast Guard friends. A memorial service will be held at Yosemite National Park at a later date; please contact Patti at [email protected] for service information.
