Joyce McCord-Plunkett, 74, passed away peacefully with her beloved family at her bedside on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. A Graveside Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11, 10:00am in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Joyce was born November 7, 1947 in Kent City, Michigan to the late Burrell and Thelma Pieper. She served her country proudly in the United States Air Force retiring from service after twenty-years. Joyce was attached to Robins Air Force Base with the 5th Combat Communications. She enjoyed shopping, including at home shopping on QVC, baking, crafts, sewing and most importantly, spending time with her family and grandchildren. Joyce was a loving wife, supportive mother, wonderful grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Theodore F. "Ted" Plunkett; two daughters: Jessica (Sherard) Holloway of Warner Robins and Kealey Bull of Indiana; six grandchildren; Hailey, Krista, Alexander, Leah, Alyce, and Scarlett; three brothers: Tom, Tim, and Dennis Pieper, all of Michigan; one sister, Connie McGuire of Michigan; and step-mother, Norma Pieper of Michigan.
