VINCENT, JOYCE H. 101, died peacefully, November 2, 2017, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly. She was born in Glen Ridge, N.J., to Edgar Morrell Hinkle and Ruth Church (Hinkle) Zeiger. During her youth she lived in Caldwell and Essex Fells, NJ; Tampa, FL; and Newburgh, NY. She graduated from Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Orange, NJ, where she met her husband, Nicholas F. Vincent, MD. They were married 57 years, before his death in 2000, and raised their daughters Wendy Siedlecki, Holly Vincent, Nancy Vincent and Debby Vincent in Glen Ridge, NJ. She and her husband also lived in Chatham, NJ; Lexington, KY; and retired to Columbia, SC, where they were active members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. They enjoyed traveling throughout Europe. She loved children and raising her daughters. She had many interests including needlework, gardening, gourmet cooking and keeping in touch with and visiting her friends and extended family. She shared her smile with all and easily made many friends. She moved to Westminster Palms in St. Petersburg, FL in 2005 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Along with her 4 daughters, she is survived by grandchildren, Ellen Siedlecki, Andrew Siedlecki (Jen), Charles Meade, Cathy Massoud (Justin), Margaret Vincent, and Katherine Vincent; great grandchildren, Michael, Lily, and Willow; and several nieces and nephews. Her siblings, George (Ted) Edson Hinkle, Barbara Parsons and Sally Eichhorn preceded her in death. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Palms for the compassionate, loving care they gave to their mother. There will be a celebration of life at the Palms, Nov. 28 at 10:30 am. A family service is planned at Eastminster Presbyterian Church at a later date, in Columbia, SC. In her memory, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice.
