Juan Vicente Lopez
July 12th, 1948 - June 6th, 2017
Juan Vicente Lopez of Caldwell, ID passed away June 6, 2017 at age 68, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Francisca Lopez, his daughter Sonia Perez, his parents Juan C. and Angelita Lopez, and his sister Elizabeth Lopez. He married his wife Francisca Alvarez on Sept 25, 1965. They migrated to and from Texas, ultimately settling in Caldwell, Idaho in 1970. From this marriage came 5 daughters: Sonia (Robert Perez), Amy (Arturo) Rojas, Edena (Isaias) Alfaro, Estrella (Mando) Solis, Nereida Lopez, and his son Juan Luis Lopez. He is survived by: five children, sixteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, his sisters Tile Garcia, Delia Velazquez, Susie Oviedo, Eva Miranda, and his brother Benitio Lopez. He enjoyed dancing, welding, and fishing, as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially at family gatherings. Dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle, we weren’t ready to let you go but we know that God has other plans for you. You were a very strong man with such a huge heart and touched many lives. “La Coneja”, we love you and miss you dearly, until we meet again. A viewing will be held on Sunday June 11, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with Rosary to be recited at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated at 1pm on Monday June 12, 2017 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell. Graveside service will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
