Judith Ahlschlager

Judith Lynn Steen-Ahlschlager, age 59, of Summerville, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014, at home after a battle with cancer. Born in Manhattan, NY, on July 29, 1955, she was the daughter of Florence and the late James George Steen Sr. She was a 1974 graduate of Henry Hudson Regional High School in Highlands,NJ. She was preceded in death by her father James George Steen Jr(Sunny). In addition to her mother, Florence Steen of Ocean,NJ, survivors include her loving husband Timothy Ahlschlager of Goose Creek; two beautiful daughters Nicole(Travis) Laffey and Christine (Tracy) Mazyck of Goose Creek. Also, her five grandchildren; Jenna, Dylan, Adarrius, Chase, Kyliegh and one brother James Steen Jr (Cheryl) of Barnegat,NJ. Her four legged babies: Peyton Pus, Senorita Rosalita Valentine(Lita), Mr. Dante’, Toby(Beebis Bunn), Marsha Mush, and Peanut of Goose Creek. Her sister Mickey Daily, her angel Ann Marlowe, and several dear friends. Judy loved her family, laughing, music, arts & crafts, and Jesus. She was an avid animal lover. She was a beach girl with a beautiful smile, personality, and heart of gold. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankee’s and the New York Giant’s. She was an inspiration to us all and touched the hearts of so many people. She worked at Bahrs Restaurant, Publix, Perkins, and Mermaid’s Cleaning Service. Funeral service will be private through Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
