Judith Evelyn Baker, born November 13, 1934 in San Francisco to Henry Schipper and Evelyn Lukins of Santa Cruz, died March 10, 2013 of natural causes. During her life, Judith was appreciated for all her varied artistic and culinary talents, her warmth, and her fun-loving charm. She also possessed an adventurous nature-leading Judith to join the US Power Squadron in Coos Bay Oregon to practice marine rescue drills from a helicopter with her predeceased husband, Ronald Baker. She was an avid sailor and felt a lifelong love for the Pacific Ocean. She enthusiastically embraced other cultures and some of the most enjoyable times of her life were those opportunities to live in distant countries such as Macedonia, France, Costa Rica, and Mexico. She forged lasting, enriching friendships with folks hailing from some of the far-flung places she visited. She leaves many dear friends and neighbors behind as well as her devoted sons, Daniel and Craig Nolting, her adoring daughter and son-in-law; Amy and Vernon Davitte, as well as three beloved grandchildren; Geoffrey, Margeaux, and Gregory Davitte, all of whom found her to be an exciting, nurturing, and elegant grandmother. Judith will be forever missed and never forgotten.
