Judith Marie Conley was born in Neosho, MO to Benjamin and Dorothy (Dowling) Fawver. The oldest of 6 children, she moved to the LaSalle area at age two. Mrs. Conley graduated from Valley High School in 1965, where she was a Vikingette. On September 25, 1965 she married Cloyd C. Conley Jr., and were the first couple married in the St. Mary’s Church in Greeley. She and her husband celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary last month. Mrs. Conley had a son, Cloyd III on November 3, 1967 at Fort Ord, CA, and a daughter, Relyn on January 14, 1969 in Greeley. Mrs. Conley was a dedicated mother participating in her children’s lives as a member of the PTA, a den leader for Brownies, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts. Mrs. Conley worked for three years for Winchell’s Doughnuts out of high school, and sold Avon for two years. She then began working for School District 6 in 1974 in food service. Mrs. Conley worked for food service full-time for 28 years at Chappelow and Centennial schools, before retiring to part-time at Winograd K-8 until her death. Mrs. Conley enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and made every family get-together an event. Mrs. Conley clog danced with several groups beginning in 1992 and performed for the public at many events throughout northern Colorado over the past 15 years. Mrs. Conley’s favorite place on earth was the Rocky Mountains, spending countless hours in Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, and Trail Ridge. Mrs. Conley was an especially loved grandmother, spending every Friday night with her grandchildren, taking them to school everyday, and she never once missed a ball game, a recital, or one of their school functions. Mrs. Conley was an extremely outgoing and friendly woman, helping any friend in need. She was an avid reader and loved flowers and tending to her flower gardens.
