Judith Karen Cox - O'Sage, 69, of Tacoma WA, Passed Thursday March 20th 2014. Born to Vern and JoAnn Cox, April 30 1944, in Rapid City, SD. Judy moved to Tacoma with her parents in 1950, and they lived in Tacoma until 1958 when the family settled in South Hill, Puyallup. Judy was baptized into Christ at the age of 12 at East Side Christian Church in Tacoma Washington. Judy graduated from Puyallup High School in 1962 and received her LPN certification from Tacoma Vocational-Technical School in 1964 and ranked in the top ten percent on the national boards. Judy married Kenneth M Osage in August of 1965, and they soon welcomed their first child Kenneth M O'Sage II in October of 1966. Daughter Tiffany Kathrene O'Sage-Carter was born in March of 1971. Judy worked at St. Joes Hospital in Tacoma following graduation. She then went to work at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup where she worked in many different departments among her favorites being the E.R. In the mid 1980s she switched gears and went into long-term care working in the Puyallup and Tacoma area. Judy was an avid artist and ceramic teacher. There were many in the art community that helped to inspire and support her in her many endeavors. Family and friends enjoyed the gifts that she created for them. Judy enjoyed day trips to Mt. Rainier and taking her children on adventures down the coastline to explore the beaches. Her grandchildren were introduced to arts, literature and gardening from a very young age. Judy enjoyed spending Fridays playing hand and foot with her close friends. Judy is survived by her Children, Kenneth M O'Sage II and Tiffany Kathrene Carter, her Grandchildren Jonathon Osage,Crystal Burns, April Burns, William(Dakota)Burns, Cheyanne and Dakota Carter, Her father Vernon R. Cox, Siblings Gary Cox, DeAnn Peterson, Vernon Cox Jr., Randy Cox, Cindy Cox, Michelle Sanders, 2 nieces, 8 nephews, their children and numerous cousins whom were all loved by her more than she could express. Judy was preceded by her mother Jo Ann Cox 2013 and her nephew Derek Rew 2004.The Memorial service will be held at the home of Tiffany and Mike Carter, May 18th, 2014, from 1pm to 6pm.
