Judith "Judy" Anne Stevenson

June 15th, 1940 - July 27th, 2024

Judith (Judy) passed away peacefully on July 27 at the Cape Canaveral Hospital Hospice Care Unit at the age of 84. Judy was loved and is survived by her two daughters Lynn (Jim) Rosenbauer and Tracy (Joe) Ballington, her sister Nancy (Richard) Stomp, grandchildren Brooke (Justin) Nash, Wyatt Ballington, Hans Rosenbauer, Hunter (Brittany) Rosenbauer and Josh Ballington and her great-grandchildren Auren and Blake Nash. Judy was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 56 years, John Stevenson.

 

Judy was born in Whittier, California and attended Montebello High School. She was an executive secretary at the then North American Aviation facility in Downey, California, where she met her husband, John. They moved to Florida in 1966 when John joined the Apollo Space Program. Judy was Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant at the Thermal Protection Facility at Cape Canaveral. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sewing, doing crafts and making artificial flower arrangements. She especially enjoyed raising and riding her half-Arabian gelding, Search for 18 years. Judy was her sister Nancy’s friend and confidante all her life. For a number of years, she gave continuous support and assistance to Nancy, sharing and enjoying the showing of her Arabians.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, FL on August 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m... In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your donations to the charity of your choice in Judy and John’s memory.
