Judith E. Laury
December 3rd, 1940 - October 4th, 2024
With profound sorrow, the family of Judith E. Laury announces her passing on October 4, 2024, in West Springfield, MA. She was 83 years old. Born on December 3, 1940, in Tupper Lake, NY, Judith was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick and Betsy (Vieu) Blair.
Judith devoted her life to her family, her faith, and her community. She spent her entire life in Holyoke, a place she loved deeply. A woman of boundless faith, she was a dedicated member of her church community, actively involved in the evolution of the former Sacred Heart Church, now Our Lady of Guadalupe. Judith's devotion took tangible form in her heartfelt teachings in CCD and through the meticulous craftsmanship of rosary beads which she generously shared.
Judith was predeceased by her beloved fiancé, Reginald Greenough, and her son, Donald Laury Jr. She is survived by her son, Vincent Laury, and daughter-in-law Nicole, her daughter-in-law Lynda, her brother Armand Blair, and her sister Judy Ison. She is also remembered and cherished by her grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Natasha, Vincent, and James, as well as her many great-grandchildren, including Jynia Rose, Jaxx, Elliott, Charlotte, Akurah, Alexis (angel), Jeremy Jr, Cammren, Connor, Keirah, Naliyah, Violette, Bella, Alexander, Taylor, JJ, Brianna, Abigail. Judith was also predeceased by her brothers Louis and Freddy.
Throughout her years, Judith was a pillar of strength and an embodiment of compassion, a testament to her faith and the virtues she lived by. Her absence is deeply felt by her family, friends, and the numerous individuals she touched with her kindness.
As we honor the life of Judith E. Laury, may we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she instilled in each of us. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 16th from 5-7pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
