Judith Scofield Judith Ann Scofield passed away at the age of 91 on October 21, 2015, in Eugene, Oregon. Judy was born in Logan, Ohio on August 31st, 1924 to Geraldine Miller and George H. Anthony, both Ohio natives. The years between the age of eight and her late teens were spent on the Anthony homestead in Hocking, Ohio being raised by grandparents Inez and George A.J. Anthony. She had three sisters and a brother who remained on the East Coast when she moved to California in 1941. Judy married Hersel Scofield on August 8th, 1942, two months before he was sent to India for three years during WWII. They had 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and raised their family only blocks away from the beautiful Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz. She was an active member of the Christian Church, vocal soloist, floral designer and full time wife and mother. After her husband passed in 1981 she moved to Eugene, Oregon to be closer to daughters and grandchildren. Judy spent the last 20 years preaching and singing at local Nursing Homes and the Eugene Mission, having received her certificate of Chaplaincy of Nursing Home Ministries only last year. A Life Celebration Memorial will be held on Saturday, November 21th at 2:00pm at Countryside Christian Fellowship, 32534 W Van Duyn Street in Coburg, Oregon.
