Judith "Judy" Ann West

Judith Ann West "Judy", 91, born in Seattle, Washington, on April 5, 1930, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2021, at Suncoast Hospice of Pinellas County. Judy resided in Dallas, Texas, until the age of 13 and in Detroit, Michigan, until her graduation Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University, in 1951. Judy has been a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, ever since. Judy was pre-deceased by her parents, Byron M. and Martha Marion Gardner; her loving husband, Donald Albert West and her grandson, Andrew DiPietro. Surviving family members include her three children, Christopher Mark West (Kathy), Holly Ann West, and Leslie Jan Aldinger (Bob); nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Judy had an adventuresome spirit and an infectious appetite for life that carried her to the very end. She was gifted in arts and crafts, and spent much of her life cultivating an outstanding orchid collection. Judy was also an accomplished professional portrait artist, and her beautiful pastels leave a rich legacy that will last for generations. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid-Pinellas. A gathering will be held Friday, November 26, 2021, at the Anderson McQueen Funeral Home at 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM, located at 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33710. The family requests that attendees please wear a mask during the service.
