Judy Ann Russell

Judy Ann Russell, 66, of Oroville, CA, went to feast at the banquet table with Jesus on June 13, 2024, after her long battle with cancer.She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Talarico. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Talarico; brother, Randy Talarico; sister, Paulette Preaseau (Pierre); nephew, Ryan Ramos (Allison); nephew, Vinny Talarico (Deanna); niece, Jessy Orantes (Robert); and 3 great nieces and nephews: Ella, Makaya and Zayden.Judy had a big personality that served her well in her 45 years of cutting hair. She started her barbering career in Berkley, CA.She then stepped away from barbering and entered into a life of being a missionary for 14 years. She spent 7 of those years in India, living in the mountain area of Mussoorie.Once she returned from India, she resided in Portland, OR, where she was an instructor at Paul Mitchel and Aveda schools teaching hair cutting. ~Later she made her way to Yuba Sutter area and cut hair for 10 years in Marysville at her family's barbershop.Judy had a love for travel and was always planning her next trip. She was always ready to play a card or board game with family and friends. She loved to cook and garden.Her willingness to help others with her time or advice, her love for God, and her bigger than life personality will be greatly missed.Celebration of Life will be July 13, 2024, at 2pm Cornerstone Church 700 Washington Ave., Yuba City, CA.In lieu of flowers you can donate to the Hunger Project or The Unstoppable Foundation.
