Julia Devers

Julia G. Devers, 66, wife of Jim Devers, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Julia was born January 11, 1953 to the late Loren and Susie Harmon Gaskin, in Russell Springs, KY. She was employed and retired from Community Trust Bank. She was a member of Midway Christian Church and a graduate of Midway College. Julia was an active member of the Midway Women’s Club and loved using her unique talents in making all kinds of crafts. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter; Rebecca (Dhrubo) Mazumdar, NY; a sister, Geraldine Aaron; brothers, Donald (Joyce) Gaskin, Lenton (Arlene) Gaskin, Gary (Jo) Gaskin and David (Elaine) Gaskin; mother-in-law Mary Devers; brother and sister in-laws; Jim (Gloria) Batts, Versailles, Rick (Janet) Devers, Versailles; and a chosen sister Nancy Lu Prewitt, Midway; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Judy Blair, Janice Montgomery and Waneta Gaskin. Services will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to New York Botanical Gardens or Woodford Food Pantry.
